Dr. Richard Zapfel

Dr. Richard Zapfel earned his Bachelor of Arts degree at St. Olaf College in Northfield, Minnesota.  Dr. Zapfel received his D.D.S. from the University of Minnesota.  He would later complete his orthodontic residency and earn his M.S. degree at the University of Minnesota.

In practice for over 30 years, Dr. Zapfel stays abreast of the latest advances in orthodontics with memberships in the American Association of Orthodontists, Midwest Society of Orthodontists, American Dental Association, Minneapolis District Dental Society and the 21st Century Study Club.

Dr. Zapfel is kind, and has a deep caring and compassion for people.  He has an eye for art and beauty, which is evident in his patients “after” photos, as well as his beautiful garden the clients have the ability to see when in his exam room through the wall of windows.

Dr. Zapfel has been honored in the July 2009 Top Dentists, Minnesota Monthly magazine.  He was also honored in July 2000, 2003, 2005, 2007 Minneapolis/St. Paul magazines.
