Dr. Richard Zapfel

Dr. Richard Zapfel earned his Bachelor of Arts degree at St. Olaf College in Northfield, Minnesota.  Dr. Zapfel received his D.D.S. from the University of Minnesota.  He would later complete his orthodontic residency and earn his M.S. degree at the University of Minnesota.

In practice for over 30 years, Dr. Zapfel stays abreast of the latest advances in orthodontics with memberships in the American Association of Orthodontists, Midwest Society of Orthodontists, American Dental Association, Minneapolis District Dental Society and the 21st Century Study Club.

Dr. Zapfel is kind, and has a deep caring and compassion for people.  He has an eye for art and beauty, which is evident in his patients “after” photos, as well as his beautiful garden the clients have the ability to see when in his exam room through the wall of windows.

Dr. Zapfel has been honored in the July 2009 Top Dentists, Minnesota Monthly magazine.  He was also honored in July 2000, 2003, 2005, 2007 Minneapolis/St. Paul magazines. 

Dr. Alisa Madson

Dr. Alisa Madson is a graduate of the University of Minnesota, School of Dentistry. She earned both her DDS and her MS degrees at the Twin Cities campus, where she now teaches part-time as a clinical instructor. She is a diplomate of the American Board of Orthodontics and an active member of both the American Association of Orthodontists and the Minnesota Dental Association. Her participation in numerous continuing education courses keeps her abreast of the newest information and technology.

Dr. Madson loves people, art, and science. The combination of these three things makes Dr. Madson a friendly, caring orthodontist who strives to provide optimum care and maximum comfort for patients of all ages.

In her free time, Dr. Madson enjoys participating in sports and outdoor activities. She travels when she can and likes to spend time with her friends and family. She enjoys volunteering and has a passion for music..
